Scorpion Control in Antalya

Our scorpion control service in Antalya covers villas, ground-floor flats, gardens, basements and complex grounds. A barrier along the base of the building plus targeted treatment of shelters such as stone piles makes it far harder for them to get in. Scorpions do not live indoors — they come in from outside, which is why the real work happens around the building.

How to spot it — the signs

  • A scorpion sitting still on the bathroom or kitchen floor at night
  • Sightings along wall bases, door thresholds and around drain openings
  • Encounters in cool areas: pool plant rooms, technical rooms, stores
  • Found under stones, pots or firewood stacks when they are lifted
  • Repeated sightings on the ground floor and in basements

Why they are common in Antalya

The Mediterranean climate suits scorpions. Hot dry summers push them into cool shelters by day and out to hunt at night. In settlements built against the foothills and in newly developed areas, habitat disturbed during construction sends them straight towards buildings.

Stings from the species common in Antalya generally cause severe pain, swelling and burning; in children, the elderly and allergic individuals the picture can be more serious. Always go to a medical facility if stung.

How they get in

  • Gaps under doors and external doors with worn thresholds
  • Air-conditioning, gas and service penetrations in the external wall
  • Basement and ground-floor ventilation grilles
  • Garden drains, gullies and inspection covers
  • Balcony drains and gaps in window frames
  • Pots, boxes and firewood kept outside and then brought in

How we treat

Scorpion work runs in two rings. The first is a barrier along the base of the building, making it harder for them to cross from the external wall inwards. The second targets the shelters in the garden: under stones, rockeries, stacked materials, around irrigation lines and wall cracks.

Indoors we handle only the entry points and any active areas identified. On the ground floor the bathroom and kitchen drain lines, basement connections and door surrounds are the priority.

What to do alongside the treatment

Treatment alone is not enough. Physical measures extend how long it holds and reduce repeat visits: fitting door brushes, sealing service penetrations in the external wall with silicone or foam, checking insect screens and moving stacked materials away from the wall.

We point these out one by one during the survey. Knowing which hole to seal often removes the need for a second treatment entirely.

What to do after the treatment

  • Fit door brushes and check the thresholds of external doors
  • Seal air-conditioning and service penetrations in the external wall
  • Move firewood, brick and pot stacks away from the building wall
  • Delay garden irrigation for 24 hours after treatment
  • Turn the light on and check the floor before entering the bathroom or kitchen at night
  • Shake out shoes before putting them on, especially garden shoes

FAQ

Scorpions — frequently asked questions

Will I never see a scorpion again?

In a property with a garden or on the ground floor nobody can honestly promise you will never see a single one. The treatment substantially reduces their ability to shelter and get inside. If you see them again within 10 days, call and we come at no charge.

How long does scorpion treatment last?

Our treatments carry a satisfaction guarantee. Because the scorpion season in Antalya runs May to October, a treatment at the start of the season generally covers it. Heavily irrigated gardens may need a repeat mid-season.

Is it dangerous for my pets?

It is safe once surfaces are dry after treatment. We ask that animals are kept inside during the work and that food and water bowls are lifted. We tell you when they can go back into the garden.

I've been stung — what should I do?

Go to the nearest medical facility without delay. Try to keep the stung area still, do not cut it and do not try to suck out the venom. This is an emergency medical matter, not a pest control one.

If you've seen one, don't wait

Early treatment is both quicker and cheaper. Call before 17:00 and we'll come today.
