Why they thrive in Antalya
Cockroaches need heat, moisture and food. Antalya's climate supplies the first two for most of the year, and without a winter cold enough to slow breeding the population stays alive continuously.
The second factor is the building stock. In the multi-storey blocks of the central districts, plumbing risers and shared drainage give the colony a free run of the whole building. A source on the ground floor keeps feeding the flats above.
Why supermarket sprays don't work
Most retail sprays kill on contact but their smell and repellency scatter the rest of the colony. The scattered colony withdraws into wall voids and neighbouring flats; weeks later the problem is back and spread wider than before.
The right approach uses non-repellent products that the insect carries back to the nest. With gel treatment the cockroach takes the bait, returns and the effect spreads through the colony. It does not kill what you can see instantly, but it is the method that lasts.

What to do after the treatment
- Do not wipe the points where gel was applied — it needs to stay there
- Wipe contact surfaces such as kitchen counters and dining tables as normal

- Fix dripping taps and damp under-sink areas — moisture feeds the colony
- Seal service penetrations and gaps under doors

How soon will I see results?
The first drop is usually visible within two to three days. Fully cutting the colony with gel treatment can take one to two weeks. Seeing dead insects during that period is normal.
My neighbour won't treat. Will mine still work?
Treating your flat will give you relief, but if the source is in the building they can re-enter. In that case we also seal the entry points and recommend communal treatment to the management.
Will the house smell or stain?
The products we use are odourless and do not stain. Gel is applied in very small amounts to points that are out of sight anyway.
Do cockroaches carry disease?
Because they move through drains and waste areas they can carry bacteria onto surfaces and food. They are also a known asthma and allergy trigger. If you see them in the kitchen it is worth acting without delay.
